General

Sports Building is situated on the campus of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, located at Burgemeester Oudlaan 50. For the accessibility of the campus and information about parking, please visit https://www.eur.nl/contact

Sports Building:
Monday until Friday: 8.00 - 23.00h
Saturday and Sunday: 11.00 - 18.00h

Café:
Monday until Friday: 8.00 - 23.00h
Saturday and Sunday: 11.00 - 17.00h

Fitness:
Monday until Friday: 8.00 - 23.00h
Saturday and Sunday: 11.00 - 17.00h

During this year, Erasmus Sport will be closed during the holidays and in the period between Christmas and New Year's Day (December 24 until January 1). Check the detailed overview here.

When you lose your Erasmus Sport pass or if this pass has been stolen, you should report this as soon as possible. This can be done at our service desk or by email: info@erasmussport.nl.

After reporting your missing pass, we can duplicate your Erasmus Sport pass at our service desk. For this, you pay €7,50 administration costs. With the creation of such a duplicate, your old pass loses its validity.

If the lost or stolen Erasmus Sport pass is used by someone else in the meantime this will be seen as abuse and we will have to take the Erasmus Sport pass (also see our general terms and conditions).

The found objects (clothing, shoes, etc.) are stored in a box under the stairs next to the service desk. Found cards, jewelry, electronics and such are stored at the service desk

If the found objects are not claimed within two weeks, we bring them to the front office of the University Support Centre:  https://www.eur.nl/services/gevonden-en-verloren-voorwerpen

Want to stay updated from the latest updates of Erasmus Sport? We are communicating all updates directly through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram), the Erasmus Sport app and through our website. We would advise you to keep an eye on these channels. Besides that, we are sending newsletters to our members every now and then. Are you not receiving these newsletters, but do you want to receive them? Please check your email address through our webshop. Go to 'My profile' and click on 'My data'. Here, you can check your email address and, if needed, you can change it here as well.

Website (online classes and booking tennis and book a court)

Two options: either the combination of username and password (case sensitive) is incorrect, or you do no have a valid sports pass. Without a valid sports pass you cannot reserve courts or watch workout classes online. In our webshop you can check this yourself. If you can log in there, it is not due to the combination of username and password. Then go to 'My profile', 'My history' 'and My sports pass' in the webshop. There, you can see whether your sports pass is active and valid. If there is no active and valid sports pass there, you can always purchase a new one in 'Sports passes'. Do you think the info in your account is incorrect because you do have a valid sports pass? Please send us an email: info@erasmussport.nl. Making reservations: tennis and squash courts

Reservations can be made through our website! Click on 'Book court' and use the login details which you use for our webshop. Haven't you got any login details yet but do you have a sports pass? Then go to our webshop and click on 'Forgot username and/or password'. Then follow the instructions, specifying the email address that we noted when you bought your sports pass from us. Note: don't create a new account if you already have a sports pass. You already have a sports pass, so you already have an account as well. When you create a new account, the system does not recognize you and you still cannot log in. Still created a new account and is it not working now? Please let us know by sending an email to info@erasmussport.nl. Please send us your first name, last name and sports pass number.

Do you not have a valid sport pass, but still want to reserve a tennis or squash court? Buy a day pass at our service desk! They will immediately reserve a court for you as well. 

Yes, but not via our website. Please pass by our service desk to buy 1 day pass per person.

You can book a court 24 hours in advance. This applies both online (for sports card holders) and at our service desk (for people who don't have a valid sports pass).

You can only make one reservation at a time. As soon as the time slot that you had reserved has expired, it is possible to make another reservation. If you are lucky, you can also reserve the next timeslot again. Or make a reservation for the next day.

Sports Program

You don't have to reserve a spot in our group classes. However, there are some exceptions: Power Pump and Small Group Training. Reserve your spot through our app.

The registration forms will open one day in advance at noon. As long as there is a spot left, you can sign up on the day itself as well. Book your spot through our app.

Sorry, not at the moment. But if someone cancels the reservation, the spot will be released again as soon as we process it. So it may be worthwhile to take another look at a later time.

You have to pay extra for most of our courses (including squash and tennis). The amount that you have to pay is a lot lower if you have a valid sports pass. You can see this difference in price by viewing the course in our webshop if you are not logged in and then if you are logged in. Do you not see a difference in price? Then check whether you still have a valid sports pass! Go to "My Profile", "My History" and "My Sports Pass". If there is no active and valid sports pass there, you can always purchase a new one under "Sports passes". Do you think this is incorrect because you do have a valid sports pass? Yes, we do! We offer personal training and duo personal training! For only €19 per person you can participate in 2 personal training sessions with a friend. Do you prefer to go alone? That is of course also possible! For €29 you get 2 personal training sessions from our personal trainer.

Partners & Sports clubs

Yes! With your Erasmus Sport pass you can visit many of our sport partners in Rotterdam and surroundings, which offer discounts or free use of what they offer.

If you want to join one of our student sport clubs, you can directly contact the club you want to join.

Each club uses different rates, so the amount you have to pay extra differs per club. To get this question answered, it is best to contact the club directly.

You do need a sport pass for most clubs. You can contact the relevant club to find out what agreements they have about this.

Almost too much to mention! We offer daily group lessons, fitness and sport opportunities without guidance. Furthermore, we offer various courses (which sometimes require additional payment) and we have 26 sport clubs each offering their own program.
With your Erasmus Sport pass you can also visit many of our sport partners in Rotterdam, which offer discounts.

Facilities

Yes, we do have a lot of lockers! All lockers are free to use and can be opened/closed with your own code.

Note: we reset all lockers during the night, so make sure you don't leave your personal stuff in our lockers overnight!

No, unfortunately we do not have a swimming pool. However, you can swim with a discount at the swimming pool “Oostelijk Zwembad” after showing your student pass. For more information you can check their website: https://oostelijkzwembad.nl.

Squash rackets can be rent for €2,50 per racket and squash balls can be bought for €4,00 per ball. It's allowed to use your own squash racket and balls as well. You can reserve a court for free. 

Beware: it is not possible to reserve a squash court on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the moment, because on these evenings our squash club 'Tick in de Nick' is active. We would recommend to reserve a court in advance, click here.

You can reserve a court for free. Tennis rackets can be rent for €2,50 per racket, tennis balls can be bought for at least €7,00 per set. It's allowed to bring your own tennis racket and balls as well.

Yes, that's possible! In every dressing room, we have open showers and private rooms where you can shower. 

Equipment

You can rent, borrow and buy various materials and equipment at our service desk. For example basketballs, table tennis bats, and rackets. Some materials can be rented for free, other for a fee and some can only be bought. You can't use our boxing gloves, so please bring your own gloves to the class. Please bring your own boxing gloves to Boxing, Boxing Bag and Kickboxing. For all other sports, you don't have to bring your own materials.

Sport classes

Yes, we do! You can buy a day pass at our service desk for only €7. With this pass, you can join all classes which are held on that day. Note: you have to reserve a spot in Power Pump and Small Group Training. Book a spot through our app or webshop. You can pay here as well. 

If you want to (also) use the fitness facilities that day, you will pay an extra fee of €3. To try a training of a club, you need to contact that club.

Of course, we try to prevent classes from getting cancelled as much as possible.  Occasionally it can happen that no substitute is available in the absence of an instructor. In these cases we will always report this as soon as possible via https://erasmussport.nl/en/roosters-lesuitval/, through our Erasmus Sport app or through our socials.

You can rent, borrow and buy various materials and equipment at our service desk. For example basketballs, table tennis bats, and rackets. Some materials can be rented for free, other for a fee and some can only be bought. You can't use our boxing gloves, so please bring your own gloves to the class. Membership & prices

Yes, you can also purchase a sport pass for the period of 1, 3 or 6 months. Check our webshop for the prices of these different passes.

All passes for the fixed periods of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months start on the day of the purchase. So, if you buy a sport pass for 1 year on December 7 2022, this pass will be valid until December 6, 2023.

Our promotional passes are valid for a predetermined period of time, for example up to and including the 31st of August. When you scan your pass at the entrance gate next to our service desk, the screen will always show the expiration date.

No, this is not possible. The full amount must be paid at once.

No, this is not possible. Our sport passes cannot be terminated, which is why we can offer such good deals with such an extensive program.

No, that's not possible. If you would like to go to the gym, you have to pay an additional fee (check www.erasmussport.nl/tarieven).

EUR employees can buy a sport pass for same rates as EUR students. Check our webshop  for an overview of the different rates.

During the promotional periods in January and September, it is possible that employees will receive an even more favorable rate than for students. To be informed about this, always keep an eye on our website and social media!

Each September and January we have special promotions, where we offer the Erasmus Sport pass at a discount.

In September we also offer special passes for a shorter period of time for members of the ESN (Erasmus Student Network: https://esnrotterdam.nl/ ) hebben we in september ook actiepassen voor een kortere periode. Ben je lid van ESN, vraag ESN dan om de voorwaarden.

Outside the promotional periods we do not have special offers for students who stay in Rotterdam for less than a year, although a sport pass can be purchased for shorter periods of time. For the prices of these passes you can check our webshop.

As a student of Hogeschool Rotterdam, you can workout for the same prices as student of the Erasmus University.

All students from all Dutch universities can buy a sports pass for the same rate. We do not distinguish between students from different universities.

In addition, we always have special offers in September and January. In these months we have special discounts. We will always communicate these discounts via our website and our social media.

At our service desk you can pay for your sport pass with cash, debit card (Maestro and V Pay), credit card (MasterCard and VISA) and cash. In our webshop you can pay with iDeal and credit card. 

In our webshop, you can pay with iDeal and creditcard. At the Erasmus Sport Café, you can pay with debit card (Maestro and V Pay), with creditcard (Mastercard and VISA) and cash. 

When paying with a credit card, the transaction amount will be charged directly to the credit card at the time of the transaction. Due to the corona virus measures we do not allow cash payments in our sport cafe.

No, we do not automatically renew your sport pass. If you want to extend your sport pass, you can do this yourself via our webshop or at our service desk.  When you extend your sport pass you have to again pay the full amount at once.

Horeca

Yes, we have! In Sports Building, there is a huge café called Erasmus Sport Café. You can buy lunch, snacks, drinks and dinner here. It's also possible to organize activities in our café! You can definitely organize a lunch/dinner/drink at Erasmus Sport! Please send an email to sportcafe@erasmussport.nl . Mention the date you would like to organize your activity and let us know if you have any other requests. Based on your e-mail, we will discuss how to organize the event best!
