Relax and Recharge Week

From November 11 to November 17, it's 'Work Stress Week'. But we are doing it a little differently! During the 'Relax and Recharge Week', It's all about you and finding the balance you need. Whether you're a student, or at work, stress can add up considerably. That's why whis week we put an extra focus on ways to relax and deal with stress.

 

We have a lot of fun activities and fine sessions this week that will get you recharged.

Activities

Sauna and ice bath

In cooperation with the Nordic Student Association, we are putting up a sauna and ice bath on Monday, November 11, between 14:00 and 20:00. This is where you can come to sweat it out and cool down after exercising.

This way you give your muscles a boost to recover faster from your strength training. Also, the sauna is good for your resistance, improves your blood circulation and provides relaxation. 

Massage chair

In our wellness corner, you can stop by for a moment of rest and relaxation in the massage chair. Here you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of studying and leave the daily stress behind. Whether you need a short break or just want to take some time for yourself, the massage chair offers an ideal opportunity to recharge.

 

Feel free to stop by and enjoy a relaxing moment. 

Yoga classes

From Monday, November 11 to Saturday, November 16, anyone can join the yoga classes from 09:00 - 10:30.

 

At yoga, you work on your flexibility, posture, blood circulation and improve your oxygen intake. In addition, you can relax and socialize with the other participants.

ROOM

Need a break? Join the ROOM Break!

 

You’ve probably heard of ROOM — the new student platform for personal growth launched this year. It’s packed with fun, quick exercises to help you feel less stressed, more focused, and ready to take up university challenges.

 

Now, we’re bringing ROOM to life with the ROOM Break—a chance to connect with fellow students, share experiences, and practice these exercises together. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by deadlines, or just need a mental reset, this is your moment to recharge.

 

Grab your friends (or come solo) and join us for a fun, interactive session designed to help you feel better—together. Let’s make personal growth social!

Canine

Need to relax in a different way? Come to our canine class on Wednesday, November 13 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.

 

During this class we do different exercises with a dog. Through the production of serotonin, dopamine and endorphins you get more control over anxiety, depression and helps you feel better about yourself. So you will leave relaxed afterwards. 

 

A dog is present at this class, therefore it is important that you are not allergic. Would you like to participate in this class please send an email to laurens.wielaard@erasmussport.nl stating the activity. 

Living Room

The Living Room is a place on campus where students can relax, socialize and recharge. You can play various games and attend workshops there with one rule: no studying for a while. 

 

Within the Living Room is the Personal Support Hub. This is the place to go when you need a listening ear, get stuck or are struggling with something. The student hosts are there to listen and help you. 

 

Every day you can walk in here for a chat without obligation between 11:00 and 17:00. 

Brushes and Brunches

On Sunday, November 17, in collaboration with Wellnest, we are hosting a special art therapy session in the Living Room, combined with a delicious Sunday brunch.

 

This activity offers you a chance to unwind creatively and express your thoughts through art while enjoying a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
